When i started written
The whole so so curious
Excuse my lugubrious state of mind
been tryna stay alive

Found a doctor tryna find a way to show me something new
So he gave me a pen and book and told me to write down things that trouble you

Pff well alright i guess i said reluctantly
Been carrying around my bags
Full of my shitty past
But it worked

And i won't even lie, at the time
Yeah it hurt
But my curse
changed it's course
My pen a scalpel, ready to make this incision
Never envisioned me taking the time to make this decision
Cut the sadness out with perfect precision

Oh what that over there, off to the east
I see a sunrise over there, droppin this beat

Hatred and greed , i was on my knees
It's fading away
Happier times ahead of me
No longer restrained

By the atrocities that always seemed to follow me
Up and down up and down
Just like an elevator

I'm finally finding clarity in the world around me

No way in hell i'm going back
Back when that room was black
Sleepless and restless like an insomniac

Hey i found the epiphany
I let go of the kerosene
Taht i would pour on me self well you see

You gotta understand
The road is tougher
When you banish everything in your life that makes you tougher

Time to rebuild and renew
Life up my head and i see the stars and i thing to myself "I see the future too"

It's an experience
Leading to a delirious state of mind
But with family and love
Yeah we're gonna be alright
